Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before ordering, pricing, deposits, lead times, delivery, and more. Still have a question? Get in touch.

How do I place an order? +

Fill out the Request a Quote form with your date, occasion, and design ideas. We’ll reply with a quote and an invoice. Your date is reserved once your deposit is received.

How does the deposit work? +

A 50% deposit is required to secure your date and is non-refundable. It’s due within 24 hours of receiving your invoice. If the deposit isn’t received within 24 hours, your date is released to other clients.

How far in advance should I order? +

Smaller cakes: At least 1 week notice. Earlier is always safer, especially for popular weekend dates. Large events & weddings: 4+ weeks. Allows time for a tasting beforehand if preferred.

Do you deliver, and what areas do you serve? +

We serve Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Kyle, Buda and the surrounding Austin area. Local delivery and pickup are available; delivery fees depend on distance. In-state shipping may be possible for select items.

Do you ship out of state? +

No. As a Texas Cottage Food business, we can sell and deliver within Texas (including in-state shipping for select items), but out-of-state shipping is not permitted by law.

How do you handle allergies and dietary needs? +

Our home kitchen handles common allergens including wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy, so we cannot guarantee any item is allergen-free or free from cross-contact. Please tell us about allergies when you order and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Anyone with a severe allergy should order with that risk in mind.

What is “cottage food,” and does it mean lower quality? +

Cottage food means our cakes are made in a licensed home kitchen under the Texas Cottage Food Law rather than a commercial storefront. It’s a legal, common way skilled bakers operate. It keeps overhead low, not quality. Every order is handcrafted with the same care you’d expect from any top bakery.

What’s your cancellation policy? +

Deposits are non-refundable because we reserve your date and begin planning once you book. If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability.

What flavors do you offer? +

We offer a rotating menu of classic and seasonal flavors, including vanilla bean, chocolate, funfetti, lemon, and more, with buttercreams and fillings to match. Ask about current options when you request your quote.

Do you require a legal cottage food disclosure? +

This product is produced in a private residence that is not subject to governmental licensing or inspection under the Texas Cottage Food Law.
